Spring Really IS Coming!
After the snow storms of this winter, all of us are more than ready for spring. We have loaded our showroom with a multitude of new and exciting flowers, plants and accessories for this uplifting season. Some of what we found will be mentioned in the following paragraphs.
Before we do that, we are very excited to inform you that we are completely updating our website (www.silksetc.com) which should be complete in the next thirty days! It will be much easier for us to update the items we carry and add photos of current flowers, greenery and accessories. There will also be a link to our new Facebook page where we can update information and communicate with you on a daily basis! We are really anxious for this change to take place in order to keep you better informed.
New Creations to be Previewed at Two Spring Seminars!
As we said, the markets for Spring yielded many new items that we have not had before which will allow us, or you, to create new and exciting creations for your home or office. The dates for this year's informative seminars are Thursday, March 11 and Saturday, March 27. Both seminars will begin with homemade refreshments at 1:00 PM followed by the seminar at 1:15 PM. We have added drawings to both of the seminar dates, which will offer you a chance to have the opportunity to take home a gift absolutely FREE! We will also offer a discount of 20% on any two items that you purchase on the day of your seminar.
As usual, you are encouraged to bring up to three guests who will also be eligible for the drawings and discounts.

What's New?
After much searching, we finally found more Spring flowers in bulbs that are great for creating completely realistic small saucer arrangements. The variety includes crocus, grape hyacinths, daffodils and hyacinths.
Just arrived are "Garden Fresh" delphiniums and Queen Anne's lace. Both are long stemmed and have completely sealed stems so that they can be displayed in real water without staining your vases. They look absolutely real and to complete the illusion, all you do is spray the flowers with our floral scent sprays!
Another new collection includes dahlias, stock, peonies, roses and straw flowers in new "earth tone" colors that are perfect for creating an Old World or French Country look. Other stemmed flowers include scabiosa, cherry blossom branch, several varieties of roses (including miniature), tulips, garden peonies, large iris, sweetpeas, larkspur, gerbera daisies, forsythia, yellow garden lilies and our most realistic garden dahlias.
New tropicals include several orchid varieties, birds of paradise, pineapple flower, oriental ginger and a glorious new fantasy flower, Memories of Taipei. Realistic blooming bushes have arrived and include cyclamen available in red or pink, impatiens in two colors and red geranium bushes.
Foliages were prevalent at the markets and include magnolia foliage, bamboo stems in four or six foot sizes, coleus bushes in two colors, wandering Jew and several other ivy bushes and a variety of grasses.
New fruits include a fantastic red apple, lemons and limes. Also just arrived are new palms in several sizes and spectacular floor plants including a fish tail palm and mango plant.
Containers have arrived and many more are to come including pots of several sizes in blue and white, glazed ceramic pottery in several sizes and colors and much more. And finally, new accessories include two sizes of pansies in acrylic water, five herb pots in a stand and small orchids, lavender, Queen Anne's lace, hydrangeas or peonies all in glass containers with acrylic.
We look forward to showing you around our showroom, at a seminar or any other time, answering any questions you may have. Also, please look at our website regularly. We feel you will be very pleasantly surprised at the look and accessibility of the new changes that we are making.
